Friday
Head down and get yourself settled into your room. If it’s within your means, we recommend finding somewhere to stay within easy reach of Tenby’s many attractions, whilst finding somewhere quiet enough to get some proper rest and rejuvenation. Take a leisurely amble through Tenby as the evening starts to get going. Just a stone’s throw from the Square you’ll find ‘The Cove’, our cosy, welcoming bar. Fridays mean live music, so settle in with something from our extensive bar menu and enjoy the entertainment.
Saturday
It wouldn’t be a Tenby weekend without a stroll across our many beautiful beaches. The North Beach outlook is where you will see views across to the iconic Tenby postcard- the harbour and its surrounding colourful houses. Make your way to Castle Beach, where you’ll suddenly find yourself faced with the impressive St Catherine’s Island, home to an abandoned fort. If the tide allows, you can nip round the corner to South Beach, where you’ll be able to gaze out at Caldey Island, home to a monastery and a chocolate factory! If you’re visiting in warmer months, there are daily trips to land on Caldey which is a must.
Windswept and exercised, you’ll need some sustenance! The Cove offers the perfect lunch menu for small snacks, picky platters or even something more substantial. Wondering what to do with the dog? Don’t worry! We are dog-friendly, and we won’t mind if you’re sneaking bits under the table either.
As the day rolls on, why not browse through Tenby’s many shops. Buying local means so much to the area, and we have so many lovely independent shops to choose from. Tenby now boasts artisan bakeries, book shops, our famously bohemian ‘Equinox’, as well as our own brewery. You could get lost all afternoon!
For dinner, indulge in our evening menu. Our sharing platters are famous, and the portions are plentiful! Plus, Saturdays are the best night to get involved! After a feed in one of our cosy coves, get amongst the action, as The Cove turns into the Saturday night place to be. We have a huge array of gins, cocktails, spirits and shots. Buckle up!
Sunday
Your Sunday might be full of action or you might be nursing a bad head, but one thing’s for sure: you are going to have to try the Cove Sunday Platter. Iconic amongst locals and tourists alike, this roast is a showstopper. Brace yourself as a heaving tray of food hits your table, and you’ll eat ’til you can’t. While away the hours with drinks and good conversation as you let your food go down. Perfect.
